At this time, MoDOT crews are “assessing” the bridge and will have more updates at a 2 p.m. news conference.
MoDOT KC District Engineer Greg Bolon is expected to discuss the full closure of the Northbound 169 Viaduct Bridge, as well as the reduced lanes and reduced load postings of the Northbound MO Route 291 River Bridge.
The north and south airport entrances remain open, the Kansas City Downtown Airport said.
