A strong storm buoyed by an atmospheric river blew through Lane County overnight, toppling trees and causing power outages.
At 4:30 a.m. the Oregon Department of Transportation issued a warning for the coast and Willamette Valley reporting downed trees and other hazards making travel dangerous.

Power outages
As of 7:30 a.m., Eugene Water and Electric Board is reporting 326 customers without power.

Lane Electric is reporting 100% of customers in Blue River, Lorane, McKenzie Bridge and Vida are without power. A total of 4,584 customers in Lane Electric's territory are experiencing an outage.
Blachly-Lane reported 564 of its customers are without power scattered through its service territory, with the highest percentages without power in Walton, Elmira and Deadwood.
School closures and delays
Lincoln County School District: All schools and campuses are closed.
Mapleton School District: School is on a 2-hour delay and preschool is canceled.
South Lane School District: Dorena Elementary is on a 2-hour delay.
Crow-Applegate-Lorane School District: Schools are on a 2-hour delay. No breakfast or before school care.

McKenzie School District: All schools are closed today.
Oakridge School District: Schools are on a 2-hour delay.
Road closures
OR 99E is closed 2 miles north of Hubbard between milepost 25 and 27 due to downed power lines. This could be an extended closure. Use an alternate route.
