A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenage boy was stabbed to death in North London.

Following a two-week manhunt and a public appeal following the murder of 15-year-old Adam Henry, the Metropolitan Police said officers had arrested Abdel Dedour at an address in northwest London on Boxing Day.

Three other men and a woman who were at the property, aged between 18 and 47, were also detained for assisting an offender.

Police were called at around 1pm on Tuesday December 9 to reports of a stabbing on Westbourne Road in Islington.

There, Adam was treated by paramedics for a stab wound before being taken to hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff he died in hospital later that afternoon.

In a previous statement, Adam’s family described him as a “loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, friend” and said they will “never recover from the loss and not having him in our lives”.

“There is no place for senseless acts of violence on our streets – and those responsible for such crimes should be brought to justice.
