Add Yahoo Tech on GoogleA widely-praised PS5 and PS4 game is shutting down its online service after 2.5 years for undisclosed reasons. Humanity’s The User Stages mode might be its only online feature, but it was a significant one. According to publisher Enhance Games, over 30,000 stages have been shared since launch.
After March 2026, players will neither be able to create and upload stages, nor will they be able to play stages created by other users.

“Over the past two and a half years, we at Enhance have been absolutely astonished by the quality and breadth of puzzles that the Humanity community has created using the in-game Stage Creator,” the publisher wrote. “We thank everyone for their contributions to this community library.”
Humanity is currently included in the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog. The game is PSVR2 compatible, and Premium users can stream the title.
Those worried about trophies will be pleased to note that none of Humanity’s trophies are tied to its online feature, so you can still obtain the Platinum trophy after The User Stages mode shuts down.
